ASTRA DF NS®
Non-Silicone Defoamers
Non-silicone defoamers for processes where silicone is undesirable (food packaging, auto coatings, electronics). Fast foam destruction without silicone contamination risk.
When do we need silicone-free defoamers?
In food packaging, automotive recoat, electronics and many high-performance applications silicone contamination is unacceptable. Non-silicone defoamers from ASTRA control foam without compromising recoatability, adhesion or transparency.

Key Benefits
- Silicone-Free formula — safe for recoat and overspray
- No effect on inter-coat adhesion
- Food packaging compliant
- Suitable for clear and transparent coatings
- Effective in waterborne and solvent systems
- Good long-term stability
Impact on Coating Performance
For sensitive industries where silicone defects are a deal-breaker, ASTRA DF NS provides reliable defoaming without risk. Perfect for automotive refinish, can coatings and food contact applications.
O – organosoluble, WB – water-based, RC – radiation-curable
